Julia Hinns - Managing Director

As Managing Director, Julia is responsible for the strategic development and vision of Trio Childcare Connections. She looks for solutions to match government aspirations whilst ensuring that the child is always at the centre of innovation and all childcare practitioners are valued as equal.

"Life before children - I came from a business and finance background and became a Registered Childminder in 1990 progressing through a very traditional route of volunteering and working in toddler groups; playgroups and schools. I progressed through the childminding support/training route and managed an NVQ Centre before setting up Trio in 1996. I believe passionately in professional development having worked my way through a portfolio of training including: HNC Business and Finance; Further Adult Education Teachers Certificate including Assessor and Verification modules; Early Years Care & Education Level 4 NVQ; Level 5 NVQ in Management and more recently my BA (Hons) Early Years Care and Education and Early Years Professional Status.  In 2013 I became an Early Years Ofsted Inspector for Tribal involving a wealth and depth of training around the regulatory requirements of early years settings and handling sensitive information."
