About the course

This Level 3 Diploma prepares learners for the Early Years workforce, enabling them to work with and care for children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years.  Upon achievement of this qualification it is intended that learners will be able to enter the workforce as Early Years Educators.  Details about this diploma's specification can be seen on Cache's website.

This course is accredited by Cache, the specialist awarding body for the children and care sector.  Trio Childcare Connections have been approved by Cache and delivering their qualifications for almost 15 years; where in that time we have registered thousands of practitioners on various Cache childcare qualifications.

Required GCSEs

This qualification meets the full and relevant criteria for you to be recognised as an Early Years Educator.  GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above are also a requirement together with the Early Years Educator Qualification to count in the staff-to-child ratio at Level 3.

While the GCSEs are not a prerequisite of our awarding body CACHE or Trio prior to enrolling, you need to be aware that funding providers may include this in their own eligibility criteria.  If you are looking at doing a course for your English and Maths, it's advisable if at all possible to do a GCSE course rather than an equivalent.
